 MODULE: Naturalistic Intervention

What Other Factors Should Be Considered Before Initiating A Naturalistic Intervention Program?

Because naturalistic intervention is implemented by multiple people throughout the day, it is important to have a clear understanding of who is on the team. Parents, siblings, special education staff at school, general education teachers, child-care providers, and adults from the community (including coaches, religious instructors, scout leaders, etc.) may all be appropriate naturalistic intervention team members. Team members will need to be part of the planning for naturalistic intervention, and will frequently require training on how to elicit the target behavior (see Step 3, Step-By-Step Instructions) as well as their role in data collection (Steps 2 and 7, Step-By-Step Instructions).
