MODULE: Functional Communication Training (FCT)

Objectives

After completion of this module, participants will:

• give a basic overview of FCT, including how to select a replacement communicative act, how to implement the training, and how to monitor progress;
• identify resources to use when developing FCT; and  
• apply aspects of FCT to interventions for learners at the preschool, elementary, and secondary grade levels.
