OBJECTIVES

  5. List early red flags for autism in the infancy and toddler years (before age 3)
  6. Describe different patterns of onset of autism
  7. Name three screening measures for autism and describe their strengths and weaknesses
  8. Name three diagnostic assessment measures for autism and describe their strengths and weaknesses.
  9. Describe three considerations for communicating screening and diagnostic assessment results to parents.
  10. Name three national organizations or agencies that have resources to support early identification of autism.
